Terms of service

These terms apply when you use memories.repair. They are written to be read; if anything is unclear, ask us.

Payments: Paddle is our reseller

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. When you buy credits, you buy them from Paddle, under Paddle's buyer terms; Paddle charges the VAT or sales tax of your country and sends the receipt.

What the service does

• You upload a damaged JPEG photo. The service looks for the parts of the file that were lost, puts the parts that survived back where they belong as well as it can, corrects their colours and fills the gaps.
• What was lost from the file can't be brought back. The filled-in parts are a guess, and they look blurry. Some photos can't be repaired at all. We don't promise a result: you see it before you pay.
• The diagnosis, the preview (smaller, with a watermark) and adjusting the repair are free, without an account. Downloading a repaired photo in full quality costs one credit.

Credits

• Credits are bought in packs (see the prices). One credit downloads one repaired photo in full quality; downloading the same photo again is free while it is stored.
• Credits don't expire, and they can't be exchanged for money except as our refund policy says.
• Credits are used in the order you bought them. A pack you haven't used can be refunded within 14 days. The first download with a pack's credits asks you to agree that the pack is then in use and can no longer be refunded.
• A photo with nothing to repair never costs a credit.

Your photos

• Only upload photos you have the right to use. They stay yours: we use them only to repair them for you.
• Every photo and its repair are deleted automatically 7 days after upload, or earlier when you delete them. Download what you want to keep. How we handle your data: privacy policy.
• Don't upload anything illegal. We may delete such files and close the account.

Accounts and API keys

• You sign in with a link sent to your email address (or with Google). Keep your email account safe: whoever can read it can sign in.
• API keys are for your own programs. Keep them secret; downloads with a key use your credits, and they don't ask first: by making a key you agree that a download with it may start a new pack, which can then no longer be refunded. We may limit the service, or block keys and accounts, when it is misused (for example to overload it). If we close an account without it having broken these terms, we refund its unused credits.

Liability

We work carefully, but the service is offered as it is: repairs can be imperfect, and the service can be unavailable at times. Keep your original files; the service never changes them. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

Changes and law

We may change these terms; the date at the top shows the last change, and important changes are announced on the site. Estonian law applies; as a consumer you keep the protection of the law of the country you live in. Questions or complaints: [email protected].
